Holden (2009, p.74) stands for the teaching of a foreign Language with the use of authentic texts, written “for the use in the „real‟ world, not only for English students” Regarding the teaching of a foreign Language from the 6th to the 9th grades, consider the following alternatives: I- The textbook should be understood as a production related to values, ideological positions, visions of the language, teaching the language, the student, the teacher, and to the role of foreign languages at school.
II- Hardly ever teaching materials are composed by teacher‟s book, student‟s book, textbook, CD-ROM, portfolio, dictionaries and materials focusing on specific skills such as text production (writing) and listening comprehension.
III- The priority of textbooks in foreign language is, for most cases, to work grammar structures and vocabulary with no context at all.
